The Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation welcomed a new Chairman of the Board, Robert Flores, during NEDCO’s Board Meeting on Thursday, October 8 at The Fredonia Hotel.

The event also marked the end of Gary Stokes’ term as NEDCO's Chairman of the Board. He will continue to serve NEDCO in the role of Past Chairman for the duration of the 2020-2021 officer term.

The Nacogdoches Public Library is offering two classes this summer to promote entrepreneurial development. The Kids Entrepreneurship Academy, which began on July 2nd and runs until July 23rd, is geared toward kids and teens ages 12 to 17, with a goal of getting an early start on the fundamental skills they will need if they choose to become entrepreneurs when they get older. Library Director Mercedes Franks is teaching the class to kids enrolled at the Boys & Girls Club in Nacogdoches.
