Manufacturing

Nacogdoches is the perfect host for manufacturing plants. The labor force is diverse, ranging from eager high-school graduates to skilled alumni from Stephen F. Austin State University. Several manufacturers have found success in “The Oldest Town in Texas.” Elliott Electric, Bright Coop, Southern Power and NIBCO, Inc are amongst the myriad of success stories.

“For 75 years, NIBCO INC has enjoyed a “favorite neighbor” relationship with the City of Nacogdoches. From our elected officials to the residents that come to work with us every day, NIBCO Nacogdoches could not have a better pool of resources to build on. Our success can be attributed to the strong and consistent support the community provides.” – Sheri Howard, Plant Manager of NIBCO, Inc.

NEDCO (Nacogdoches Economic Development Incorporated) is excited to help these manufacturers get on their feet. The common goal we all share is the success of Nacogdoches, TX. NEDCO realizes the importance of community when it comes to the longevity of businesses in our town.

“Southern Power first came to Nacogdoches in 2010 to begin operating our first power plant in Texas. We were immediately thankful for and amazed by NEDCO’s support and guidance in introducing ourselves to Texas and the Nacogdoches community. NEDCO’s mission to foster a successful environment for industries in Nacogdoches County is evident through the resources, support and opportunities they provide. I look forward to working with NEDCO in the future as we support the growth of our community.” -Ron Ray, Plant Manager of Southern Power
