New V.P. for NEDCO Selected
NACOGDOCHES, Texas (November 18, 2008) — The officers of the Nacogdoches Economic Development Corp. (NEDCO) have selected Peggy Muckelroy as vice president of the organization. She replaces Donna Maisel, who left NEDCO in mid-September to become the executive director of the Marshall (TX) Economic Development Corp.
“Peggy Muckelroy brings with her a wealth of knowledge and experience to NEDCO,” said Ed Pool, NEDCO chairman, and vice president/associate broker, Charles Pool Real Estate. “We were looking for someone who could hit the ground running, and Peggy is definitely that person.”
Ms. Muckelroy has worked at Work Force Solutions Deep East Texas for the past four-and-a-half years as the business service manager. Prior to her selection, she was also serving as an officer on the NEDCO Board, a volunteer position from which she resigned upon accepting the offer to become vice president. She is a graduate of Stephen F. Austin State University and is a Certified Workforce Expert by the National Workforce Institute.
“Peggy’s background in such diverse areas as work force issues, incentive programs, grant writing and demographic databases make her a perfect fit for the NEDCO team,” said Bill King, president/CEO of NEDCO. “I’m really looking forward to working closely with her as we strive to bring even greater prosperity to Nacogdoches in the coming years.”
Muckelroy will assume her new duties at NEDCO on December 1.
