Nacogdoches Technical Training Center

The Nacogdoches ISD Technical Training Center was an effort started in 2010 by the Nacogdoches County Commissioner's Court and the County Judge, in partnership with the  Nacogdoches Economic Development Corporation and many community leaders by purchasing a 28,000 sq. ft. former beer distributorship facility located at 6003 North Street in Nacogdoches, Texas.

Nacogdoches County received $1.5M in Hurricane Ike 2.2 funds from the Deep East Texas Council of Government for construction and renovations needed for the building.

On Thursday, January 21, 2016, Nacogdoches ISD celebrated the official opening of the Nacogdoches Technical Training Center and the new location of the Malcolm Rector Technical High School.

On February 22, 2016, the Nacogdoches ISD Superintendent signed the paperwork and NISD officially owned the Technical Training Center.  The facility, on 4.5 acres of land on US-59 Business, has been retrofitted into a technical training center with classrooms and lab space.

Angelina College serves as the education partner by utilizing three approaches for citizens in the Nacogdoches community:  Adult Education, Community Services, and selected transfer and technical courses.  Courses are offered in both the traditional instruction format and through interactive video conferencing.
